2.  Explain the various activities under population environment and development. (Long Question) 

Ans:- The various activities under population, environment and development are as:

i)  Agriculture:- Agriculture has the great contribution in Nepalese economy. Agriculture is a major profession of Nepalese people. People are not highly privileged from this profession. Nepalese agriculture is based on traditional Technology so there is less productivity. Modern and scientific Technology should be introduced in agriculture. It must be commercialized and scientific land Reform should be implemented. It uplifts the Agro production that is beneficial for health, nature and development. 

ii)  Industry:- Industrialization is a main activity of production, environment and development. It creates the job opportunities and enhances GDP and national economy. Industrialization improves the living standard of the people changes and manages health, environment and population. It controls the dependency of the country and outflow of capital. The government should develop appropriate environment for the industrial development and investment. Government, public and private sector can invest for the industrial development. 

iii)  Health:- Health age of foundation all the development activities. The healthy people are good infrastructure of development. There should be good provision of health service and facility in the community. The supplement food and nutrition and drinking water uplifts the health of people. The economic development supports to maintain the quality health service in the nation. 

iv)  Social security:- social secretary is a program of human protection and conservation. It emphasizes the Social Justice. The marginalized, backward, suppress and underprivileged group and community of the country must get the participation in the main stream of development. 

v)  Education:- the education proceeds the developmental activities in the country. The qualitative education creates coordination among population, environment and development. The qualitative education produces the good citizens and human resources for the development. The free and compulsory education system is a good effort to make people educated.

Ans:- The skilled and trained workforce for the development activities is known as human resource. Human resource is considered as an important element of development. The formulation and implementation of development policy, strategy, plan and program depend up on the availability of human resource. The reliable supplement of Human Resource mobilizes the natural resources sustainably and contributes the rapid development. The excessive supplement of human resources is also beneficial. It can appoint for foreign employment that promote the remittance for the national development. But, countries should hire the skill and Trained manpower from foreign if there is less supplement of human resources which is not affordable for all round development of nation.

Ans:- Population, involvement and development are closely interrelated. This relationship can be explained on the basis of following points:

i)  Use of natural resources:- The development depends up on the mobilization and availability of the natural resources. The utilization of natural resources such as land water, air, minerals, forest, birds, plants, etc. Is the basic need of human population and development. These environmental components determine the existence of human beings and development. The rational utilization and sustainable development contribute the conservation of environmental.

ii)  Development and construction works:- Development is necessary to fulfill the needs of growing population. The sustainable and eco-friendly development works can address the human needs and demands. The over exploitation of the natural resources and environment both harms the environment, development and human beings. 

iii)  Economic Development:- Economic development is the key component  to manage the population and conserve the nature and environment. It uplifts the living standard of the people, local and national economy. It improves the financial status and creates the infrastructure of development. The economic development enhances the conservation program of environment. 

iv)  Social and cultural activity:- The construction of temple, monastery, monuments, religious pilgrims, schools, chautari, public awareness, expansion of means of communication, festivals, etc. Are related with social and cultural activity. Ans:- The sustainable development helps in the proper utilization of resources by the following ways :

i)  Feeling of responsibilities:- The concept and Practice of sustainable development changes the knowledge, skill and vision of people. It develops the feeling of responsibility on utilization and conservation of various natural resources. It helps to realize and use the natural resources as common assets. 

ii)  Development of basic aspects:- The sustainable development create the basic aspect of human life and Society. The development of health education agriculture tourism and social sector as basic aspect of the life is essential for proper utilization of natural resources. 

iii)  Participatory development:- Public  participation is a crucial factor for the sustainability of the development. It focuses the equal participation of government, local people and stake holders in the development activities. It is required to formulate policy, program and implementation. All these aspects create the appropriate condition for the proper utilization of natural resources. 

iv)  Demarcation and off development activity:- it is required for the rational utilization of natural resources. The development activities should be Limited. The development activities that enhance the over exploitation of non-renewal resources such as fossil  fuel, Mines, etc. And invite the environmental hazards must be controlled or quit.

Ans:- The following are the principle of sustainable development:

i)  Conservation of ecosystem:- The main objective of the sustainable development is to protect the earth and ecosystem. There are various ecosystems such water, land etc. on the earth. The most be protected for the existence of beings.

ii)   Sustainable development of society:- The development of society should be sustainable and acceptable. All the groups and communities of the society should have the privilege of the development. Living standards should improve and health, education, economic state, peace, security, etc. Boost up. All the social unit should have the equal participation in development. 

iii)  Conservation of biodiversity:- The various species animals, plants and other living beings should be protected and promoted. They are basis of existence on the earth. The biodiversity has significant rule for the development of society and country. 

iv)  Population control:- The wise distribution of resources balance and sustainable development help to control the Rapid population growth. The sustainable development is also beneficial to manage the population. The foods, cloth, shelter, facilities and needs can be managed to control and manage the population. 

v)  Development of human resource:- Human beings are the key components for the conservation of utilization of natural resources. Sustainable development advances the skill, knowledge and practice of conservation and utilization of implementation of its principles.

vi)  Increment in public participation:- Sustainable development is not possible by a single attempt of government, its wings and other organizations. Ans:- The development of all the religious of the country equally is known as religion balance in development. Nepal is divided in two three different religions as Himal, Hilly and Terai. There is no similarity among the development activities of these regions. Terai region is more development than other regions. Himalayan regions is comparatively least development region. There is also imbalance in development of various parts of these regions. Kathmandu, capital seed leads in development for all the parts of the country. The main causes of imbalance development of regions are unequal distribution of natural resources and unequal provision of infrastructure of development such as Road, electricity, health services, education institutes, industrial development, etc.
