Ans:- Health, Population and Environment Education is an integrated form of three different subjects. It has the different aspects. These aspects can be listed as:

i)  Physical aspect

ii)  Biological aspect

iii)  Socio-cultural aspect

iv)  Economic aspect

v)  Science and Technological aspect

vi)  Political aspect

vii)  Psychological aspect

(i)  Physical Aspect:– It is related with natural, physical and artificial components. All the natural resources, housing, clothing and settlement of human beings, developmental and economic activities are included in physical aspect. These components influence health, population and environment very strongly. 

(ii)  Biological Aspect: This aspect covers the living organism of the nature. The plants, animals, birds, insects, worms, microscopic organisms like bacteria, virus, etc. are the components of biological aspect. These components affect the population, health and environment.

 

2.  Explain the interrelationship of various aspects of Health, Population and Environment Education? (Long Question)

Ans:- Health, Population and Environment Education is a combined form of three different subjects. There are various aspects under this subject. They are interrelated with each other. The following explanations show the interrelationship of various aspects:

i)  Physical aspect:-

The natural resources, housing, clothing and settlement of human beings, developmental and economic activities are included in physical aspect. Their quality, status and distribution impact the health, population growth, management and environmental conservation.

ii)  Biological aspect

This aspect covers the living organism of the nature. The plants, agro products, animals, birds, insects, worms, microscopic organisms like bacteria, virus, etc. are the components of biological aspect. The health status of the people and community, survival of new born, population growth and management, protection and exploitation of natural resources and environment depend up on this aspect.

iii)  Socio-cultural aspect

Social and cultural norms, values and practice directly affect the marriage. pregnancy, child care, abortion, death, family planning, feeding style, treatment system, utilization of the natural resources. They have both positive and negative impact on health, population and environment.

The various aspects of Health, Population and Environment Education

iv)  Economic aspect

Income, expenditure, financial status, job opportunities and economic activities affect the population growth, health and environment of the community and nation. Poverty, weak financial status of the family, unemployment and low income level cause the malnutrition, poor caring, large family and less access in health services and facilities in the community. That is the main cause of rapid population growth. It is also responsible for the over exploitation of the natural resources but less conservation programmes. 

v)  Science and Technological aspect

The development of science and technology has the crucial role to promote the health, to control the population growth and to conserve the environment. The development of modern treatment system against the various types of diseases is a distinct achievement of science and technology. Its direct impact can be observed in population management and conservation.

vi)  Political aspect

It is a crucial aspect of this subject. The health, population and environment depend up on the political situation of the country. The policy, strategy, plan and decisions of the government, political parties and organization determine the age of marriage, family size, divorce, abortion. Immunization, health, demographic, forest and environment policy, act and programmes. One child policy of China and community forest program of Nepal are the examples of political influence.

vii)  Psychological aspect

The various aspects of health, population and environment education are connected with feelings and aspirations of the people. This is psychological aspect. People must be motivated themselves to modify their behavior to acquire the good health and to get limited the child and small family. That can promote health and control population. Their involvement is possible environment protection if they feel the belongingness in their surrounding environment and natural resources.
